WIND

Fueling a state of motion through passion
A radical departure from the mundane

Wind sports are an epitome of humanity’s fascination with the wind. Take kiteboarding, the fusion of surfing, wakeboarding, and controlling massive kites. Windsurfing, having emerged in the 1960s, demands a mastery of wind via a sail mounted to a board. Sailing, a timeless activity that has driven exploration, trade, and competitive spirits across history. These electrifying pursuits embody our relentless desire to harness the raw power of nature for thrilling adventures, forging a connection with the elements that few experiences can match.

People have been harnessing kite power as far back 13th century China. In the 1800’s kites were used to pull loads. Material advancements led to the first patent by a Netherlands inventor for the sport in 1977. Between the mid-80’s and late-90’s the sport grew, aided by inflatable bladders, to draw the likes of Laird Hamilton. Today, technological advancements have made the sport more accessible to wider audiences. The components of a basic kitesurfing rig are below.

FOIL

Foiling into flow state
A Zen of passion

“Here’s the beauty of foils in windsports – they are like hydrodynamic wings, lifting us above the water’s surface, tapping into the incredible force of nature. We gracefully soar, flowing with the elements as the wind’s power propels us forward. Whether it’s revolutionizing sailboat racing with thrilling rides and enhanced performance or embracing the sheer wonder of gliding above the waves while surfing, foils connect us to nature’s forces in the most mesmerizing way.”

E-FOIL

Foils dateas far back as 1869, when a British patent was granted to Emmanuel Farcot. Foils decrease surface area friction of a vessel on the water and allow for greater speed with minimal input. Paddle, Sail, and kite foiling were the prominent iterations of the advancement until 2017, when Lift Foils made the world’s first commercially accessible electric hydrofoil.
